About The Authors

Picture
Dear Reader,

The Chamber And The Cross is about love, and second chances. We began writing it together after each of us lost our mother. Losing our mothers rocked our world. Grief shook the ground beneath us, and set us on a journey as co-writers. Writing a book together helped us heal, and along the way we forged a fine friendship. We worked side-by-side and separately for years, bringing this project from dream to draft to published work. We hope you love it, and we hope you share it with your mom, daughter, granddaughter, friends and loved ones. We hope you believe in second chances, as we do.

Deborah K. Reed

Deborah Reed has always been fascinated by historical homes. During the past twenty years she has visited Europe over a dozen times, where she soaks up history, architecture and art. Many of those trips were to do research for THE CHAMBER AND THE CROSS. She can drive in England as easily as in the States. From the northern tip of Scotland to the coast of Cornwall, from the Welsh border to scenic Cotswold villages, there is no corner of this historic land she hasn’t explored – and she always returns for more.
Her passion for travel has taken her to China, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and many other locations, and on her many adventures she has taken award-winning travel photography.

She and her husband have three grown children and two grandchildren. They all live in San Diego. She honed her architectural expertise during her successful 30-year career as a real estate Broker, where she continues to be a top producing agent. Deborah holds numerous real estate designations.

Upcoming Events and News for Lisa

Deborah and Lisa have traveled throughout Great Britain, dedicating more years than they’d like to admit to reading, writing and the research for The Chamber and The Cross. The authors have interviewed British solicitors, stayed in and toured medieval manors and interviewed the owners of these historically designated homes. They have also walked battlegrounds, studied the procedures for exhuming remains, and explored dozens of castles and ruins to bring their scenes to life.
